I audited the existing site pages and documented UX patterns and interactions. We chose to do a heuristic evaluation as there were several factors and treatments of the site that sparked attention; doing so would segment these observations into bite size pieces the team and I can move forward for the ideation process.
From our audit and research findings, we found 5 similar tones/directions to move the platform forward. I designed 30+ wireframes and assembled single-sheet ideations to review with the stakeholders to spark conversations.
The 4 guiding principles were created based on re-occurring themes the team and I have noticed on the platform. By having these established, we set the groundwork for Harvard's design and product team to scale up once we handed over the designs for development.
